An idyllic setting: the Penhors Beach
In the middle of the Bay of Audierne which stretches from the Pointe of the Raz to the Pointe of Penmarc’h, the ESB Penhors is located in the commune of Pouldreuzic about twenty kilometers from Dournenez and Quimper. Penhors beach has been awarded a blue flag for two years. It is an ecolabel symbol of an exemplary environmental quality but also of access facilitated for the disabled. The beach is monitored by three rescuers in July / August.
The site of Penhors is renowned for its beach, its chapel and its small Port which gives it all its beauty and character. At low tide, the beach is discovered for 10 km, allowing to reach the point of the Torche on foot, discovering a very diverse fauna and a flora. Penhors is a site renowned for being one of the best spots in Brittany having hosted a large number of competitions.
The waves of Penhors are ideal for surfing safely in a local atmosphere. This spot is very popular with all surfers, offering a wide choice of waves depending on the tides and weather conditions.
With a succession of beaches and rocks, the bay of Audierne shelters magnificent landscapes all along the coast. This diverse coastal landscape will allow surfers, bodyboarders and practitioners of the Stand Up Paddle to practice their sport on a multitude of spots allowing both confirmed and beginners to find their happiness.
